When the need strikes for a marble mortar and pestle, a copper sauce pan, a mixer, a canal house shaped cookie cutter, the perfect garlic press, a "poffertjes" pan or nearly any other kitchen gadget you can think of, make your way to Duikelman in the Pijp.
I love going there when I have a spare moment or two, to wander around the shop imagining all the fabulous things I could cook up if only I had this or that particular pan or spoon.
If like me, you have a weakness for anything kitchen supply related, maybe only take the amount of money you would like to spend as no matter how determined I am to merely look or to just buy the one thing I need, I always leave with a bag full of things.
The other day for example, I went in there to buy a bundt pan for my dad and walked out with silicone mini cake pans, a palette knife and a fabulous rolling pin as well.
There is also a Duikelman on the other side of the street which sells a smallish selection of stoves, tableware, cookbooks and kitchen towels. Enjoy!
