Your go-to guide for a soft landing in Amsterdam

It started with a list I made for a friend about places to visit in Paris. Then many more followed: lists about my favourite things to eat, see and do in many a city, country and the countryside. Lists of bustling markets, fragrant bakeries and pastry shops and of the best places to buy tea, chocolate and books.
Then, lists of things my family needed to happily settle in a new country and after moving to Amsterdam, lists of what other families needed to live in this beautiful and quaint city.
And that is what brings me here. I would love for you to feel at home in Amsterdam and I know that being able to do so in part depends on finding what you need. From the basics, like who to call if your child falls ill on a Saturday at 4 am, to knowing just the right spot to get freshly baked challah or home made mochi when you feel like it.

So I hope this blog can be of some help with that. The things you will find on here are those my family and I like and use.

I hope you will too.
